7th November 2015, Tendring women travel to Ealing Broadway to face Polonia SideOut. For the team’s first meet this season, Tendring have been playing hard and focusing on their defence for what is sure to be a very athletic and challenging game.

Tendring warmed up with high motivation, fully prepared to fight for every point in their first game against Polonia. After a shaky start in the first set 8-1 down, Tending found their rhythm in the pass and presented some aggressive serving from the baseline, especially from Fran Smith-Daye. During this set, Tending built momentum, however unfortunately found themselves chasing for the whole set.

After a disappointing loss the day before Tendring were looking to prove that they were better than the previous days results had shown. Although the Marvels side had brought a strong team Tendring got off to a flying start with setter Nick Davies and Opposite hitter Stuart Dove linking well to form some impressive attacks, this meant that Tendring lead at the first technical timeout 8-4. Marvels were unable to answer this and an in form Tendring side continued to push forward increasing their lead before reaching the second technical timeout at 16-8. Coming out of the second timeout impressive serving from Rob Chilcoat and Contantions Yiannakkos meant that Marvels found it hard to form a decent attack and Tendring took the first set 25-15.

On the back of 4 previous wins Tendring were feeling confident about their match against a strong Black Country side, both teams started well and points were traded all the way through to the first technical timeout where Tendring lead 8 point to 7. This lead gave them confidence and captain Stuart Dove gave an impressive hitting display along with Constantinos Yiannakkos producing a comfortable 5 point advantage going into the second technical. Black Country came out of the timeout a different side producing good defensive and attacking displays, this combined with too many unforced errors from Tendring meant that the score had been made equal at 18 all forcing coach Porter to make a timeout. Unfortunately for the Tendring side they could not find their rhythm meaning that more errors were made causing Black Country to take the first set 25-23.

This week Tendring VC's super 8 women's team took on London Pulsepoint Orcas in their third game of the season so far. With the Orcas currently standing in fourth place in the league.

In the first set our girls pushed the Orcas to 25-20. Consistent passing from the Tendring passing unit allowed the setter Jess Lane to distribute the ball well amongst her attackers.

Sunday the 1st of November saw Tendring Heatec, 28 games unbeaten; take on Southend Comets in Southend. The late weekend fixture began with Southend Comets starting without their normal setter. Southend started slowly, allowing Heatec to accumulate points as a result of confusion within their own ranks. The fog encompassing all of Essex seemed to also be blinding Southend’s efforts on the court. Heatec’s setter Nick Davies spread the play well, particularly finding Simon Ibbotson very well.  Good backcourt work from stand in coach Neil Masters contributed to Heatec’s strong performance. Heatec were well organised throughout the first set and comfortably saw the Comets of 25-21.
