NVL Women - Dartford (H) Match Report 2009-10

Tendring Beat Local Rivals

TVC vs Dartford 3:0 (25:22, 26:24, 25:23)

In the second match TVC played against Dartford. The team raised their game after the nervous start to the day and demonstrated why they finished third in the league. Tendring took the first set 25:22 after a sudden burst of energy from Linda Ziverte and Beth White. The 2nd set took on a simlar patter, but this time it was Emily Mansfield and Hannah Robinson that pushed the girls to win 26:24. In the third set the team  continued to pressurise the team from kent with some tough attacking play. Libero Gemma Harvey and Vicky Leaper made light work of the Dartford’s service and attack, giving the setter more options on the net. At 20:20 Beth White got injured and Kari Chase came into the attack. Tendring sealed the win 25:23.

It was the great season for the women’s team. Without the huge effort and hard work of the players we couldn’t achieve this success. Thanks to all of the supporters. We are looking forward for the new season in division 2.
