 Tendring 3 Ashcombe 0      Tendring 3 London Lynx 2

The women's NVL team start with 2 excellent wins to take them 2nd in Div 3 east. A 3:0 win over old rivals Ashcombe signalled a stronger Tendring than last season as they finished the young team off in 3 straight sets. New setter Hannah Robinson distributed the ball as the attacking options proved too strong for Ashcombe. Vicky Leaper making her debut for the NVL team was solid in defence and alongside Gemma Harvey provided a good platform for the serve receive.

In the 2nd match Tendring faced stiff opposition in London Lynx. Losing 3:2 last season the match was always going to be a good test in how much the squad has progressed. Tendring started strongly taking the first set 25-17. Mistakes started to creep into Tendring's games as they allowed Lynx back into the game as they took the 2nd set 26-24. Linda Ziverte and Emily Mansfield dominated the net during the 3rd set and although Lynx came back in the fourth the game was won and lost on Tendrings plays. Kat Harris made her first block of the season at 13-11 as Tendring gained maximum points
