Tendring Get Back On Track

 

A really disappointed Tendring team arrived at Guildford knowing that only a win would give them any satisfaction from the weekend. Guildford had crept up to 3rd position in the league and were trying to be the first team to beat Tendring in the league this season.

Just To Late

 

Tendring Men’s Volleyball suffered mixed emotions last weekend. Saturday saw them travel to Southampton to play in the National Shield Semi-final and Sunday provided a tough challenge in the shape of 3rd placed Guildford.

Easy Win For Tendring

 

Tendring’s old friends in Stowmarket are a tricky team, they were the first team to take a set from Tendring this season. They aren’t the tallest, fastest or skilled of teams but they work their socks off. No other team show’s so much determination in defence.

Tendring Send Students Back to Class

 

For the first time in two months the Tendring starting line up resembled its ‘normal’ faces. Although not at 100% Masters returned to court after a shoulder injury and Widlarz had a got over the flu, leaving J. Everett, Chaney, Davies, Dove and Chinnery to play in their normal roles. Oxford has been on the verge of promotion all season but today Tendring showed why they are top of the league.

Chaney Makes International Debut

Last weekend Tendring Men were missing Sonny Chaney who had been picked to represent England Cadets at the highly prestigious Sparkassen Rondo Cup in Feldkirch, Austria.

 

At 2m02cm tall Sonny was one of the tallest players, which enable him to hit over the top of some of the weaker teams. After winning 5 out of the 7 games England finished in 5th Place.
