Regional Commission Representative
Term of Office - 1 year
Duties & Responsibilities
· To represent the EVF when dealing with external organisations.
· To represent the EVF on the EVA Regional Commission.
· To act as the primary link between the EVF and the EVA.
· To liaise with the EVA and elected representatives of EVF area associations.
· To be well-informed about volleyball across the EVA and EVF.
· To encourage, promote and support delivery of the Whole Sport Plan in the region
· To monitor equity Issues.
· To agree to abide by the EVA Duty of Care Policy relating to Child Protection issues.
Hours, frequency and dates required
· Attendance at the AGM and any General Meetings.
· Attendance at EVF Executive Committee meetings.
· Attendance at EVA Regional Commission Meetings
· Approximately 1-2 hours per week to complete essential administration tasks.
Qualifications, Experience and Personal Qualities
Required
· Ability to see the wider EVA perspective.
· Recent experience of working in an administrative capacity within an Area Volleyball Association or Volleyball club at local, regional and/or national level.
· Experience as a volleyball player, coach and/or referee.
· Basic IT skills necessary for effective and efficient communication with others.
Desirable
· Initiative and willingness to make decisions
· A sense of humour.
· Good man-management skills to be able to get the best out of others.
· Ability to listen and act in an unbiased and impartial manner
· Ability to accept positive comment and constructive criticism.
