After last weeks successful game against Tamworth Spartans, Tendring Ladies earned their second win in the season playing against Sheffield Hallams. Seemingly easy 3:0 win still meant maintaining a high level of energy and concentration throughout the whole game.

Sunday 7th October welcomed the start of the 2018/19 Volleyball season for Tendring Volleyball Club Women’s team, when they played their first match in the Cup tournament against Tamworth Spartans.


The team who remain in the top division in the country for another year had their first official game as a team. With 6 new players from across the globe and the addition of two new members to the coaching team, all with huge amounts of knowledge; the team looks set for an extremely successful season.

London Orcas 3 - 1 Tendring Ladies

Tendring women had their Super 8 quarter final game against London Orcas on Saturday. Tendring started strong and were leading 8-4 at the first technical time out. Lois Chitticks who made her debut as libero for the team had some strong passes and great defensive play which allowed pin hitters Mechell Daniel and Colleen King to get some great kills. The team fought hard throughout the whole set but unfortunately lost 26-24.

Tendring Men 3 - 0 London Lynx

Having secured the National League Men’s Division 2 title already, Tendring team approached their next home game vs a strong London Lynx team with less pressure, but with an equally strong desire to maintain their unbeaten run in the league.  The competition for the second spot in Division 2 South is fierce and London Lynx is amongst the teams that could still claim it.

Tendring Ladies 0 - 3 Team Durham

After a hard fought game Friday night Tendring women’s volleyball team lost 0-3 (13:25, 20:25, 24:26) against Durham, which was played at home in the brand new sports arena at Essex University. We came into the game feeling confident as a team, wanting to get back onto our winning streak.
