25:16, 30:28, 25:22
Report by Barbara Ainola

At the beginning of the first set team Tendring started very well and made 4 really good serves which were hard to catch for the team Polonia. The girls were very enthusiastic and felt good about how they played.

But as game went on, team Polonia showed that they are not on the court for the first time. Quite soon the score was 16:8 for the team Polonia. Tendring pulled themselves together but that was not enough to win the first set and it ended in score 25:16 for team Polonia.

The second set started with the two teams competing neck in neck till approximately to the end. Tendring girls showed up a really good defence and also a very high blocking skills. Best blockers were Amelia Smith and our setter Molly Ann Van Essen. Our best pin hitter was Mechell Daniel. This time the best server was Charlotte Bontems with 3 aces. The second set kept the public excited till the end but unfortunately we had 2 simple errors at the end and team Polonia won the second set with a score 30:28.

At the beginning of the third and final set Tendring’s game was not that strong as it was in the second set and quite quickly we found ourselves in a score 16:7 behind. Then came a time when Mechell Daniel went to serve and we equalised the score. But that was not enough and team Polonia showed their power and experiences as a team and Tendring lost the last set with a score 25:22.

Overall girls did a really good job and the corner had a really good impact on the players being supportive and loud.
