New Coaches Reach Level 1
Six new coaches have passed their UKCC Level 1 Voleyball Certificate with flying colours. The students, all members of Tendring Technology College, under went a thorough analysis of the science of coaching.
The course was led by Volleyball England Staff Tutor Mark Harris who was very impressed with the young coaches “I have to be honest I wasn’t expecting the students to make such quick progress and we now have 6 very promising coaches which we hope will start to coach within the local community”
The course now allows the students to act as assistant coaches working alongside an experienced Level 2 coach. Ryan Everett has already made a start acting as assistant coach to Alex porter during the clubs summer camp programme.
The Tendring volleyball Club runs a number of sessions for all standards and has recently started a beginners session at the Frinton Campus of Tendring Technology College. The session runs from 7.00 – 8.30 and only costs £3.
The womens team are already hard at work as they are now well into their pre-season training. Captain Emily Mansfield is really pleased with the commitment the players have shown since the start of pre-season. “We have already signed 2 new players and this will strengthen the squad and training is now just starting to knock us into shape”.
