Tendring Volleyball Club is based at Tendring Technology College in Frinton on Sea, Essex since it was founded in 1991. What started out as a small group of school children at an after school club has blossomed into a club with over 100 members with a small band of coaches. Through the years the club has produced players that have gone onto to play for England at all levels and the National League is scattered with former Tendring Players. Most years the England Cadets and Juniors Men's squads have a handful of Tendring players.

The club has become one of the most successful junior volleyball clubs in the country since winning our first National Championships in 1994. As with all clubs, the teams wouldn't be able to function without their coaches. We have some real experience at the club with:-

  • Mark Harris(club founder), having over 20 years coaching experience and won numerous National Titles
  • Liam Chinnery, who has coached numerous teams to the National Last 8's and the Eastern Region Team,
  • Neil Masters, who has played for England and won a silver medal in the National U18's in his first year,
  • Seb Widlarz, former Community Coach who has developed the U11-U14 teams and is current men's head coach.
  • Alex Porter, former GB player and Community Coach, now works as the Community Development Coach

The club is run on a small subscription service with players either paying per session, term or year, with out this financial help the club wouldn't be able to have the amount of court time that they deserve and need.
