15-year old Ryan Everett recently returned from a 6-day trip to Austria, where he was representing England Cadets in The Rondo Cup. This was contested by the best 12 teams in Europe and is a highly prestigious tournament.

Ryan said, “It was a great experience and a steep learning curve for me. I played middle, which is the position I play for TTC, and featured in every game. We played five games in total, winning two and losing three, ending up in 4^th place overall.”

The team travelled to Austria wearing their official England tracksuits, which they wore to dinner every night. Ryan added, “We were treated very well by the Austrian hotel staff, like proper athletes. It gave me a real sense of pride representing my country. The whole team bonded really well and despite the losses our spirits never dropped.”

Ryan will continue training with the team in Bath and hopes to be selected to represent his country in Germany later this year.
