Tendring women will now face Div 1 Giants Loughborough college in the next round of the Women's Shield after brushing aside the challenge of Oxford Students at Frinton sportshall. The women had a depleted side with only seven available but fortunately outstanding hitting by new player Linda from Latvia proved just too much for the students. The middle proved to be the main point scoring tactic as Robin Sawyer followed up with some of her more characteristic cheeky shots.

They will now face a host of ex-Tendring players attending Loughborough including Becky Saunders and Hannah Robinson. The team will not be feeling sentimental about seeing their old team mates - well not until after the match at least. The match will be at Tendring Technology College - Frinton Campus on 11th January and having good support will be like having a seventh player - so come and give a hand.
